At EndTAB, our work focuses on gender-based violence, healthy relationships, and digital safety. Unfortunately, those issues are often left out of larger conversations about AI. With this webinar, we’re helping close that gap by connecting AI’s broader social impacts directly to survivors’ lives and the work of supporting them. We’ll explore how race, disability, language, geography, and access to resources can shape people’s experiences with AI, and what that means for you and your organization. AI, privilege, and bias: Who benefits from AI, and who carries the risks? We’ll explore real-world outcomes, bias in AI tools, and the assumptions we make about people who choose to use AI or avoid it. AI, institutions, and trust: We’ll use AI writing detection software as a case study in fairness, equity, and institutional trust, then connect those lessons to relationships between survivors and the people who serve them. AI and the environment: Concerns about energy, water, and local data centers may be personal for the communities you serve. We’ll make sense of environmental claims and discuss how to navigate conversations when someone is concerned about AI’s community impacts but is also being asked to use it to access support. AI and ethics: We'll discuss how can your organization make thoughtful, trauma-informed decisions about AI use, both for staff and for the people you serve. Why This Matters Survivors bring their whole lives into the room. Their experiences of AI may include barriers to services, concerns about privacy, discrimination, or harm affecting their communities. Understanding that context helps us offer support that respects their experiences and choices. You don’t have to be a tech expert to be part of this conversation. Your voice matters, and so does your knowledge of the people you serve. We want you to feel ready to bring that perspective into your organization’s conversations about AI. What You’ll Get Attendees will leave with practical strategies for navigating these issues, having respectful conversations, and deciding whether, when, and how to use AI in their organizations. We’ll center privacy, confidentiality, meaningful choice, and the voices of people affected by those decisions.
